You might notice that the forums look a bit different. I have just upgraded to the newly-released (like, a couple hours ago) forum version. You know how I kept threatening to make the forums look more like the rest of the site? Well after 5+ years, they've finally gotten the message to make the process easier. Of course, I haven't actually looked at it yet, LOL, but it sure looks a lot simpler even from the front-end. I guess we'll see how it goes.

I also still need to apologize for something that happened last week, I think. The site went down for a couple days. I am so sorry. I swore I had the domain set to auto-renew, but apparently I was wrong! Because when I ignored all the "Your domain is expiring soon" notices, it actually expired! A huge thanks to Gen for IMing me about the problem. I didn't have time to reply as I saw the message as I was passing by to shut off my monitor and run out the door, late for work, but I did get it and was able to handle it that day. Which brings me to my next thing to address.

I'm a working girl! It kinda got leaked a while ago, and though the mods knew I was still fairly quiet about it. The thing is, I left my husband in November. Though it was a LOOOOONG time coming, when it happened it happened quick. For those that weren't aware- I had been doing daycare at home to help out with our income. But in Michigan you get licensed to a physical address. So because I left the house I had no daycare / job / source of income. And nowhere to live lol. Yeah, good times. But it all worked out, and though life is a thousand times more hectic, it's also a thousand times more sane.

I'm sure there's more I'm failing to address. If anyone had my phone number before (my cell), I've still got that. If you want to call that is fine. I usually get home at 5:30, make something resembling food, threaten to beat the kids if they give the sitter a hard time again (I'm joking! ... mostly), and sometimes even squeeze in some homeschooling. (You didn't think I was actually going to add more to my plate with having to get them up and ready and out the door and deal with 'is-today-an-in-service/half-day/no-school-day?' issues, did you?

Well anyhoo, I'm sure this is long enough. If you notice any problems with the forums since the upgrade, please do post in the "Help" forum. I did get an odd error message at the end of the upgrade script. Though everything seems to be working, so...?

Okay, had a little glitch there. That "odd error message" I got during the upgrade process actually was something important. Whaddya know, eh? lol. So I got help from tech support and all is well now.
