You should gain weight at first, because you are building muscle.

Yeah, I expect to gain some. However, I should have shared that I gained about 4 pounds. I use to do bodybuilding with my DH, so I undertand muscles vs. fat weight and such. I was just surprised that I gained 4 pounds in about 2 weeks!

Ok, today is day 6 for me. I haven't done my workout but I normally do it during my lunch... Anyway, I have been faithful to keep up with the 15 min workout and I think I'm starting to see a glimpse of change in my body. I'm still on track to do the 14 days in a row. I know this is something I can stick with. I'm noticing that my blood sugar is more stable and I have tons of energy.

ETA: I am doing this for health more than anything. If I have a dramatic change in the way I look, I count that as a bonus.

Oh man, I just did the workout for today and I couldn't do all of it. My thighs were burning so bad... I did push myself but it just wasn't happening in full today. lol

Editing again to add that I've lost 2 inches in my waist and 2 in my hips. WOO HOO! lol

I took my measurements today. I messed some of them up, forgot exact placement of tape measure.
So, I left those out. I have done 11 or 12 partial workouts. I take walks outside 4 times a week on average.

Whoo Hooo! :spudnikboogie:
I have lost approx 6 inches!
Gained 1 pound. Previously I thought I had gained 4 lbs. Note to self: Never, never weigh your self while on period.

Congrats, that's awesome!

I always bloat up every month... <sigh> I hate that. I will feel better soon when I have a bigger size to go to during that time!! lol

I measured wrong the first time (not in the t-tapp stance) but I figure if I measure relaxed still, that is accurate, isn't it? So far I've lost almost 2.5 inches off my waist. :D I do not own a scale.

My 9 year old daughter is doing it with me. We have cut down the amount we are eating (whole family) and we are all a lot more active than we have been in a while. My 9 year old is starting to have her pants fall off! This is exciting. My 11 yr old is not willing to do the t-tapp but she does not have much extra fat on her so I guess I can stand that. She is walking quite a bit and may start karate again soon. :spudnikboogie:

Ok, I made it through the 14 days of t-tapp BWO+. I tried to do the #2 instr. today. OMG. I don't think I'll ever get that far. I hadn't even done the first workout. There are some moves that are not that challenging but some of them... I guess my plan is to learn them one exercise at a time.

I feel good. I feel my body tightening up. It's a good feeling. I don't enjoy the burn I'm getting in my thighs still when I do the BWO! I am committed to keeping up with this though and learning the 2nd part a little at a time.

Thanks for the challenge. I plan on either keeping up with the BWO every day still or every other day. I'm not sure yet.

Leigh, I am interested in the LadyBug workout. How's it going? What is it like? Is it floor or standing? Thanks.

Ok guys.. I want to get in on this. My sis is doing T-tapp.. told me to go to the website and forums. I even did some videos watching her on youtube.. and it's great. My teen even loves it!

So we're hooked! I'm going to look into purchasing book and DVD now. For now I will keep doing the online exercises. I am going to chiro right now to get neck and back in order.
I think I fell apart with this last pregnancy and birth and we definitely want another blessing.

I am 5ft. 3inches and I gained about 75lbs. with this last pregnancy. Had a lot of stress this last year and didn't lose it like I normally do in previous pregnancies (and I"m officially in my 30's now).

Hubby is leaning towards Vegan.. not sure how we'll do it! We're already gluten free can't imagine taking the meat out too, but he's feeling pretty strongly about it and I"m trying to understand. I am super prone to anemia and just have NO idea how to get the iron and protein, but that's just because I haven't spent time looking at recipes and reading on it.

Glad you all are supportive on this journey. I can't believe how hard it has gotten to get back in shape. I have 30lbs left to lose, and I'll have to take my measurements later.
Glad Zippie said something about the weight gain in the beginning too.. I seem to have gained recently despite the extra activity and workouts. I feel better, muscles seem tighter, but the gain was disappointing to see on scale. Anyone have any comments on the fat shifting though..and any personal experiene with this?

thanx..
Amy

TT calls this the hormonal years. lol I FEEL like she is right! Oh man. I'm 34 now and these last couple of years have been crazy in that area.

My fat is shifting to where I can get into a smaller size but I stick out in funny places. UGH! Talk about frustrating!

I am really loving this workout. I must say that I am NOT a workout person either.

I am feeling so much more balanced with my blood sugar and gaining strength and flexibility too. I can't talk enough about it.

There are natural sources of iron like spirulina and alfalfa too, plus all of your green veggies. HTH! ;)

Good for you in your decision. You will be pleased with the benefits. I have noticed improvement in my back and neck from doing the exercises listed for bad back. My back occasionally 'goes out/locks up' In the past I could have suffered for days. This time it was one day. I was not able to do the exercises that day, so that evening I sat in a massage chair and then DH massaged me a bit more. After that my back popped easily and I could breath freely again (my ribs were being squeezed from the tension in the muscles). Hooray! A couple of years ago someone showed DH how to pop my back. However, when it would lock up, We could not pop it for days because the muscles were so tight.

Going vegan and gluten free is possible and tasty. I did it for a month so I could speak from experience to my clients who are celiac. I have two recipe books that are in PDF format that I could send to you. PM me if you are interested.

Hey, I just made an amazing vegan, gluten-free, soy-free wedding cake for my sister's wedding. Trust me, it is totally possible to be vegan and gluten-free. Heck, half of our household is gluten-free and we are all vegan. Just remember, it is a transition and there will be a hard period. You will adjust, but you have to give yourslef grace. Veg, fitness, APing..... all of these things are not about the label. They are about the lifestyle. It is a choice you renew each day. Just do it for today and chances are tomorrow it will be quite easy to make the same choice.

Ok, I don't know if you guys will believe this or not BUT here goes...

I have a little bit more movement in my face from the Bell's Palsy I came down with in Jan of '07. I had basically given up on gaining anymore movement on my right side and I was content with that. I am able to make more expressions with my lip though now. This is way cool and the only thing I've changed is adding T-Tapp into my life. Isn't that exciting???

My daughter pointed it out to me today and I just had to come here and share.

I have been good about keeping it up every other day. In fact, EVERYDAY I do something even if it's only hoedowns and PBS.

I'm not really happy with the way I look right now though, it seems that I got puffier or something. I have lost 4 inches in my waist and my pants were getting loose but now they are snug again. I am mid cycle. Do you think that might have something to do with it?

I have been walking too, at least twice a week.

I am sure the T-Tapp helped with the Palsy. It gets everything in line, so if there was nerver pressure anywhere it probably has been relieved.

I would think being mid-cycle would make you puff up. It always does it for me. I go up a whole size for about 3 days when I ovulate and when I have my period.

I just ran and finished the toughest half-marathon in the Northwest...
We did a slideshow of it, you can view it at the link in my signature if you want.

It was such a challenge, but I dedicated it to my son and the last couple of years he's gone through. We are so blessed by the protection the L-rd has had over our home and I want to glorify Him in all things. So, for those of you who do watch it and seem confused..

We had adopted some children who were dangerous in our home and preyed upon this specific child..and the L-rd intervened in MIRACULOUS ways this last year to protect him and our family. He couldn't speak from the trauma, and now the little guy is almost reading. much heartache, MANY MIRACLES, but we trust it's all a part of a bigger plan.

I am going to keep up the t-tapp challenge..and try to stay updated here. I am going to rest for a bit from this race, but I'll be back on soon.

THANKS...

I am officially down a size. woo hoo! While I was gone to TX to visit my hubby, I did not eat all that much. Cutting back on my eating helped a ton.
