I have been communicating with a doctors office in Texas that does vasectomy reversals for a ministry. They are much cheaper due to the ministry part. However, the cost was still out of our reach. I received a message from them about another doctor who has joined them. Since he is just starting out there, he is only $1000.00. That saves us $2000.00. We still don't have the money for the trip or the doctors fees yet, but it is almost like we have some with this new price. This other doctor sounds very capable. He has been training with the first doctor, who does these daily, and he has a background in microsurgery already.
We are trying to keep the goal in mind, as I still feel we need to be quick about getting this done. Not only to get pregnant, but to be obedient to the Lord in the matter we have recently understood.

Wow. That sounds great. You have a place in OK to stop and stay if you need to! ;)

Please be aware, a vas-reversal does not necessarily mean a pg that month.. it took me 7 months to conceive the first time.. my friend had a tubal reversal, took her over a year to get pregnant.. but she's newly expecting #2 now.

The key is..patience.. all in God's time.. including the accumulation of the funds to do the surgery and to get there. Praise Adonai a door is opening!

I hear ya. That is so easy for me to say now. I have not experienced all the TTC heartache, so I do not even begin to think I understand. I am sure those words will be encouraging to me later though, especially on waiting for the funds. The Lord has shown me some things regarding the timing of this, so I have comfort in waiting a bit.
I know the Lord could have miraculously done the reversal, but He wants us to undo what we did in our wisdom. The obedience part is actually more important in some ways than the getting pregnant part. We are blessed to have this experience for growth.

Oh!! I am already fretting! Pray for me.

I was talking with the doctors office and the price of $1000.00 is a 1/2 off special for the next 6 patients (since he is getting established there). My flesh wants to pay the deposit and hold our place. I can not do that because I do not have permission from my DH or the money set aside. Sometimes I feel like we are to step out in faith on this and other times I remember that I need to wait upon the Lord. Discerning between the two can drive a person crazy occasionally. I know I will do whatever DH says for us to do, but I can not imagine at this point that he will say, "yes make the deposit". We would have to use the CC to do that and we have cut those off, while getting caught up from the building project last year. So it will be $2000.00 to do it later. It will cost us $1000.00 more to wait. I know interest will not be anywhere near that. Oh!!

The doctor has the day after our anniversary open, which also happens to be prior to Mothers Day weekend. Wouldn't that be special to have it done then. :present: :spudniksweety:

I say sell anything you can to make that money and get it done. It would be so much better to pay less now.

LOL Sara.. I think KBL said she's living in a tent waiting for hubby to build a homestead.. sell anything.. KBL, how about you sell that tent!! (lol)

That friend of mine who had the tubal, .. my friend Cheri decided it was her mission to get the financial ball rolling. She organized garage sales and bake sales and anything else that would see to funding our friend Pam's tubal reversal.

Adonai, Please bring a "cheri" to KBL, to undertake the effort on KBL's behalf to raise money for the vas reversal. Adonai, you have a vaste army of servants out there, soldiers for YOUR causes.. If it be Your will, send them with a mighty force to seal this deal before mother's day. B'Shem Yeshua HaMeshiach - Amen.

I can not hold still! :blobmulti: God is so Good!!

Thank you my sisters for praying.

I had some unexpected income come in from a freelance consulting job yesterday. I added that money to money I got from my mother for storing her stuff in our storage. When those were combined with some I had squirreled away, I had enough to pay the $250.00 deposit. All without touching money for the cc payment. I still get the 1K price and I got the appointment of May 9th.
After prayer and discussion, DH felt at peace with me paying the deposit today. I can not book the trip yet, but that will come.
I do believe that if the Lord is leading us to do this, He will provide the way. We continue in prayer about it all as we don't want to miss the signs along the road that say "take this way".

I had to laugh about selling our tent. We have been considering what things we can sell from our storage to help us get out of debt. We had three garage sales before we moved, so there are not many 'unwanted' items left.

So now the image of that bird and rabbit, in the tent.. lol When we moved here, we tented across Canada 3 nights.. with a rat in a cage and a new Great Dane Puppy.. 5 people, 2 pets in an 8 man tent.. SQUISHY..

Now if you have to sell the tent.. what on earth will you do with the rabbit and bird? lol

KBL, I'm so happy for you that that money just arrived as you needed it. I love how God is never late, and he's always got perfect timing!

Well the Lord is so good, of course.
I was thinking that DH would make me reschedule the appointment since we still do not have the extra funds for the trip. I asked him this morning to consider what he would like me to do. If I change the appointment, we had to give them early enough notice or lose the deposit. If I don’t schedule the flight soon, the price increases. Anyway you get the point. I left him to think the matter through (while I prayed!!) and got his lunch packed.
 Before he left to go to his work project, he proposed that I could make the travel arrangements :w00t: , if I was willing to get a temporary job if I had to in order for this to be paid back in two months.

I just had to do a happy dance as he was driving off. :corkysm60: Yay!! I have a trip to plan for. We get to go a little early (was only a little more $) and have the entire day of our anniversary free to run around and look at historic buildings and parks. The town that this Dr is in is an old historic German town. So we will run around looking at stuff (free to sightsee). My mom may come and meet us while we are there.

This is his surgery right.

Recovery help. He'll be pretty sore.. buy a bag of frozen peas to keep the area cool... and depending on what he wants.. my hubby found that sex really helped relieve the pain. Remember to pack all your anti-inflammatory things, arnica etc.. and remember his flight home will be very uncomfortable, so if he needs a beer on the flight to get him from point A to poing B - don't begrudge him..

Baruch HaShem - PRaise the Lord.. May God grant you that second job to get that bill paid
