Hello,
I have decided to do a little more than just use an online calendar and checking CM to know when I am ovulating. I have been researching the many options available and it seems that using a microscope may be the earliest, easiest and most economical option out there.
Does anyone here have any experience with doing this (their own or that of a friend)?

The fernning pattern is supposed to show you sooner than an OPK will that ovulation is coming and that is important for us as my DH is out of town each week and only home on weekends. If I had advance notice, I could go visit him :_biggrin: .

With the microscope, I like that you don't have to continue to buy strips or anything else. We also discussed getting a regular microscope that could be used for other things later on (like homeschooling and playing) rather than the little limited ones sold specifically for ovulation detection. From what I have read you just need one that is well lit and has at least 50X power.

Please share your thoughts.

(In case it is not obvious, AF came today. Not PG yet.)

Thanks for mentioning this, my son has a microscope that goes to 1000X. I never knew I had this tool sitting right under my nose.
