For moms of many, if your cycle had returned, how long did it take for them to balance out again?

I usually have 2 cycles at least before they regulate. Sometimes more..
This time was a bit different for me as it's the first time I experienced the lack of cycles due to bf.

I normally get pg before any regulating happens...normally don't become fertile until the 3rd or 4th cycle though, sometimes the first though! LOL

I have no clue. I didn't have a cycle between babies. :) I'm hoping for a long break again this time... Though I'm not sure because I was seeing some fertile signs the past 2 days... But I think it might be a false alarm. I hope. lol. I can't imagine babies that close. I would be excited, but I'm afraid my milk would dry up again. My 2 year old would be able to deal with it, but my 3 month old not so much. Formula is icky. I wouldn't switch him, and I don't know any breastfeeding mothers close enough to donate milk.

Did you notice a lot of cramping while waiting between cycles?

Ugh..I am so frustrated trying to figure out what is happening inside my body. I had a cycle May 1. I expected the next cycle towards the end of May.. had cramping and everything that Friday..thought, yep, that is it.. and then nothing.

I have had sporadic bouts of cramping once or twice since then and am noticing a lot of cervical fluid.. so maybe I didn't ovulate and my body is still LAM and trying to gear into full function again? My cycles have in the past returned around this time and I have conceived after a few months of their return, which I was hoping for this time, but I know each time is different.

I'm having the same things going on. Lots of cramping on and off etc. Maybe this is just how it is and neither of us are fertile yet.

If I remember right I had some cramping awhile before my cycle started off and on so it is very possible your body is gearing up to cycle. Sometimes it can just take a bit to actually happen.

I've got "murmuring" going on down there.. feels a little like I have UTI, or that my tubes are sore. Not really cramping, or PMS... but not "silence"

I spoke with another mom of many friend and she suggested looking at the Billings method of learning your fertility versus Creighton.. She has issues with estrogen peaks in her body and lots of "wet" days..issues distinguising fertile vs. non fertile and she mentioned that although she thought she was ovulating, she wasn't, and the Billings method helped her pinpoint some issues. SOOOO.. going to look into that and see if it resonates with anything I am going through.

That's a good idea. DH and I learned the CLLI sympto-thermal method so since I'm not actually temping I'm not sure how to double check. Let me know if it works for you. I think I may just ignore it and just test every month with a dollar store test to make sure. lol

here is the woomb website http://www.woomb.org/index.html There are lots of links on the site to all the information you need without signing up for anything, although there is the option to sign up for additional teaching. Hope this is useful to someone out there in the world wide web.

I thought I knew when I was ovulating too but never could get a pos. with the ovulation strip tests even when I had what I believe were the signs for it. So I found a used clear blue fertility monitor which I am using the first time this month. I just want to know if and when I am ovulating since I am not sure I am ovulating every cycle..Since I did get pg in March I know I am ovulating at least sometimes but with bf I know I may be having anovulatory cycles too. I hope this monitor works but everything I read is good stuff and reviews so..

I will check out that link..
