So my sister is close to giving birth, as is a good friend of mine... and I want a baby! We're not ttc at the moment - just moved and dh feels it's important to get settled and moving on what the Lord has for us here. And he's open to praying about when we should ttc or adopt. I'd really, really love to adopt next, as opposed to birthing another (though I want to do that soon, too!), but adoption is expensive an takes sooooo long and I am impatient! I want that little one in my arms right now!

How's that for impatient? :)

But oh how I want a little girl. Or a boy. But especially a girl. Or a boy. Am I making you nuts yet? :)

Personally I'd like to skip the whole pregnancy and labor part and just jump to having the baby next to me...but yes, I get the impatient part.

LOL.. Fairlady, and I'd love to get pregnant, feel every bump and wiggle, see the blossoming of my belly, and the swelling of my breast.. and the way people treat you.. and then the exhilaration of birth and the nuzzle of newborn at the breast...........

........ but I could do without the sleepless nights and the children squabbling, and the messy house.. and having to protect the baby from the all consuming love of his/her siblings..and the children who won't play outside or eat the food put before them at meal times.. but beg for food from the moment you clear their plate to the moment you put a new plate in front of them...

but it's all part of the package of motherhood

Yeah the sleepless nights are no fun. But to snuggle a newborn, to carry him (her!) in a sling all day, to nurse more than just upon the not-so-baby waking up...

But yeah, I'd skip to the baby getting handed to me. :)

That is so funny how different everyone's preferences are. I think Sombra and Ambra pretty much summed up how I feel.

I would LOVE twins. Everyone I know thinks I'm nuts. And of course I probably am.... What with the fact that I've yet to keep ONE baby to term.
