I am in the process of starting a quarterly christian newsletter called WHAT'S UP TURKEYBUTT NEWSLETTER. There will be a lot of topics covered, but some will be on VBACs, homebirth, UC, non-vax, non-circ, attached parenting, birth stories, homeschooling, common sense parenting, frugal living, large quiverfull lifestyle, small town living, research on our beliefs, antics, pregnancy journal, happenings at our house, time management, humor, scriptures, what I have learned over the years, being a childhood abuse survivor, forgiveness, dealing with children's medical needs, natural healing, etc. I plan to make them 20 pages average.

Please email me if you are interested in getting a sample to consider a subscription. They will be hard copies sent via snail mail. I am also giving free subscriptions to anyone that contributes articles on these topics. Being a large family, coming to QF or HSing, telling your large family schedule, gardening tips, many topics would be considered as long as it fits with our mission. I am charging for the subscriptions if you don't want to contribute, or we could trade something of interest. My first volume, first issue will be Jul/Aug/Sep 2009. I hope to have it finished by Aug 1st.

I hope this is okay to post. So, if anyone is interested, PM me, and we can trade emails and snail mails. Like I said, money isn't the motive here. I would consider many things as good trades. Kymberli

I am so glad you agree. I think so too :) Because some have asked, and I should have clarified, I wanted to add a little more detail.

If you want to contribute an article, each 10-12 type print page gets ONE free newsletter. It can be a back issue you want, or the one your article is in. If you send in a birth story, for instance, but it is 2 pages, then you get TWO newsletters. And, if it is 2 pages, it may be put in two issues, with a part one and part two, or may be all in one newsletter. Depends on how I set up the articles. I won't want to do too many continuances, but if an article about coming to the Quiverull conviction is 3 pages, then it will be in two issues, and you get THREE free newsletters. If you have several recipes for large families that have not already been published, and it is one full page, I will split them up, but you get ONE newsletter. You can contribute as regularly or irregularly as you want. I can continue from your last issue, or give you the current ones. You have to just let me know.

As far as content, there is such a broad range of topics, you may have a birth story laying around or already on your computer. Or, you can come up with something original. Anyone that emails me will get the mission statement and my about me page so you know what I am looking for. If you aren't the best writer, but still want to contribute to get free ones, then just ask me to edit it more fully. I will edit any piece, of course, but I want to keep the integrity of the piece as much as I can. I would not omit anything unless it went against my mission, and you agreed to that edit. Of course, if the piece is rejected (yours or my decision), then you could just send me a different one.

I would really want all original pieces, like unpublished elsewhere, because if your article is in another paper or newsletter, I or you would have to get permission to have it published elsewhere. If you can get that permission or the information to the other publisher, to put with the article, than that is fine. But, I don't want to get in trouble. KWIM? LOL

Also, I will be publishing them quarterly. Once my subscriptions go up, and I have a few more contributors then just myself, I will up it to Bi-monthly (6 a year). So, I hope that helps. Kymberli
