Postpartum Bleeding

I am 6wks pp and the lochia flow had almost completely stopped all I would have needed was a light pad or a liner and then about four day ago it started to increase and became red again about like a period and every little while when sitting or standing I get a little gush, and resting does not seem to be making it lighten yet. I thought I was done and got a little to active and went on a bumpy vehicle ride that caused the increase. I should have learned from my previous birth, it kept coming back then also, but it seems like more this time unless I am forgetting.

Has this happened to anyone and does anyone know of what herbs that can help that are okay while nursing.Posted Image

I had that happen after all of mine. I'm just now learning to stay away from the stairs in our home! :lol: I hate it when you get set back from healing up completely when it looks like you're doing so good.

I know it is so frustrating you think you can take over the house chores and cooking and then you have to start over. I should avoid our stairs. I thought that may be why it has not slowed yet but I was not sure, I had been useing them since I had my baby and the bathroom is downstairs and my bed is upstairs and everything was getting better, but I guess I'll have to start over and try not to do anything except take care of baby.

Oh yeah, you're not alone. :D That's why I balk at some women who are able to go do stuff after they give birth. I'm always having to take it niiiiiice and sloooooooow. :_biggrin: Maybe they have exercized their muscles more or something...

It might not be the stairs for you since you were doing them before with no problem, but that jolting ride was probably shaking things up just a tad bit too much... :)

I have that happen with a few of my births also.
I would say to continue to rest and drink some red raspberry leaf tea to help tone things up again.. :)

oh yes.. btdt.. 42 days with Asher.. not fun.. I wish there was a solution.. it'll be over when it's over.. (Gee, thanks for the good news Sombra, that was really helpful and encouraging.. why don't you just keep your mouth SHUT!) lol

Thanks for the info I will get back to drinking the raspberry tea and rest and just enjoy my baby girl, nooooooo more bumpy rides for awhile.

My last birth in particular sticks out to me... I think it was the one I took the longest to recover from...

I had to get back to regular chores almost immediately ie washing the towels, sheets etc from the birth... UC'ers know that sometimes there is no one to help or not enough help and that is in part why they are uc'ing so I did plan some things to 'help' like binding my belly etc... but it wasn't until 12-14 weeks post-partum that I no longer had any bleeding. I did the rrl too.

I know it can take time to heal and we will heal are bodies are strong and having a baby is the most natural thing there is and God made it that way, its nice to talk to other women who go through the same things. After having my son I tried to find where I could go to talk to other women who had UCs. after him I kept doing to much and it had taken me about 1owks until I had no more bleeding and then I was still worried to do anything for awhile.

The raspberry tea seems to be helping some already.
