Okay, so with Hannah I switched her to disposables when she was Sam's age. In an effort to save money I'm keeping Sam in cloth (he's 15 months) until we hopefully try some EC-style early potty training this summer.

I wasn't liking prefolds because he moves and they come untucked. He can't use the plastic PUL covers because he gets a rash, so it's wool for us. I tried making him fitteds, but they took too long to dry. So I tried making a pocket fitted that uses a premium CPF for the 'soaker' layer that comes out, and it's awesome! It has the elastic waist and leg openings of a fitted with the cheapness and easy wash/dry of a prefold :)

What are you doing with cloth diapering now?

Cara, you're on Facebook, take a look at some of the things my friend Tanya uses/sells She's even done some recycling of old sweaters etc to make longies and woolie diaper covers.. http://www.facebook.com/babeonu?ref=ts

I am going to try to make some contoured dipes myself for this new little blessing arriving soon! And I am looking for some cheap inexpensive used ones too. Anyone know where I can or should be looking?

JaidenNoah uses Motherease and Kissaluvs.

I'd love to see how they turn out! Are contoured dipes similar to fitteds?

For cheap I don't think you can beat CPFs. I love mine! I bought them new from Green Mountain Diapers (Christian company) I like the yellow edging and brown edging sizes if they're still the same.

Sombra, that lady's stuff looks great! I've re-used thrift store sweaters for soakers before. I do like the way knitted wears better than felted though.
