First Postpartum Cycle

My sweet baby girl is 16.5 months old, nurses day and night still. This is the longest stretch I've ever had without a cycle.
I just received a/f this last week, and even though we pray and consider the possibility of future pregnancy and babies.. we really hadn't talked much about it much.
After telling hubby that fertility has most likely resumed, he smiled and said "that's wonderful".
He's never responded with such joy before, this is truly amazing.
Our home feels so full with six, so I need to pray to remove those feelings of anxiety and fear in myself.
Just had to share!
Thank you,
Amy L.

I love it that your husband is so encouraging and sweet about it. Not many women can say the same.
I always feel weird when my cycle resumes too. My husband, like yours is sweet about it and looks forward to more children.
Isn't a long break from cycling nice? My longest ever was 17.5 months. It was wonderful.

You know that nervous feeling where it feels like your heart is up in your throat.. or where you were just a little too startled?
It's only day 19 of my cycle, but decided to just try one of my new tests that came in the mail yesterday... and after 5 minutes this morning..there was a second faint line.
It just seems way too early to see a positive line, and with a first pp cycle?!
If I ovulated on day 14, is it possible to see positive 5 days later?

It's kind of possible but highly unlikely. Two things though: do you have any reason to believe you o'd on D14? It could have happened before then and then it's not that rare to get a positive; also if the line is REAL faint and it's a cheap internet test it's quite possibly just an evap line. Some internet cheapies are good tests but many of them give evaps most of the time.
((((((((((hugs)))))))))) the Lord will give you just what you need, don't be nervous, mama!

It's my first pp cycle...
So it's been a loooooong time since an af. I used to ovulate around day 16. I was waiting for ovulation signs since having my first af, but haven't seen any. It occurred to me that I may have missed the signs completely due to implantation.
I got the tests from AnotherBlessing
It turned a faint positive fairly quick, so I'm going to wait a bit and test again.
The nervous feeling has been replaced with a real joy. No matter the outcome, I know we're blessed and I know He's in control.
Thanks,
Amy L

ooo! update amy?
Still no second cycle... waiting.
Although, I've heard many women locally are 'late' and off of their cycles this time around.
New moon has passed, and I'm going to re-test next week if a/f still hasn't arrived.
I find that now that my heart accepted the return of fertility, and the thoughts of another possible blessing, the growing desire began to take place.
It's amazing how that peace grows, and the worry turned into hopeful expectation. I'd like more time to give 'baby' attention to our sweet baby girl, but I'm also not fearful if it's time for another.
I know it will be ok. I'm going to keep up the breastfeeding marathon that my baby girl has been doing lately, in the past I worried about that aspect. But the L-rd has brought a lot of mamas into my life that tandem nurse, and do so just fine.
Humorously speaking, we finally got a vehicle to hold all of us, not a single seatbelt to spare, and I hadn't even thought about it until this week. I guess I should start looking and saving for one of those
seats you add to the back of a suburban. All in His timing!
Thanks for asking!

Spotting and negative pregnancy tests now.
My body is not ready, but I can see the preparation at work for another blessing one day.
I am glad that my heart is in the right place again, and that should we blessed with another I will be joyfully awaiting for him/her.
Thanks for letting me share.
