I will be sure to take it slow to start.

As for the scar; I had a real "winner" for a Dr. when I was a kid that I saw for UTI's every 2 weeks for MONTHS when I was a kid. I would run a fever, go to the Dr, get a week of antibiotics for a UTI, be fine for a week, then start running the fever again. FINALLY my mother sick of it took me to the urgent care on a weekend when I had my fever so we could see a different Dr. This Dr gave me stronger antibiotics and a referal for a specialist the next time I had a UTI. About a year later (at 12) I had my next UTI and off to the specialist I went. He ran a ton of tests on me (not the best way to spend a summer) and decided I needed surgery RIGHT AWAY like a week before school was supposed to start! My urinary track was a mess form the constant infections. When he got inside he found way more wrong than he thought. I can only imagine my mothers torment of a 1-2 hour surgery turning into 6 hours. I had lost 1/2 of one kideny and 1/4 of the other to the infections and my ureters were as big as the Dr's thumbs around instead of the size of a straw.

In my follow-up tasting he found that my uriters were STILL getting kinked up from my jumbo sized blader and I had the surgery AGAIN the day after Christmas. Anyways with each surgery they did a 7" long bikini cut (just above the pubic hair) and then about an inch below that they had another inch long opening for drainage tubes. One from each kidney and another that looked like the neck of a baloon to me. When they pulled out the drainage tubes after a week they just left it to heal from the inside out. By doing that it ended up looking kinda like a little belly button.

So before my Surgery this time with Dr. Levin I asked him to PLEASE not give me staples because I did NOT like them in the past. Had I not mentioned this he would have likely seen my old scar and done a midline cut (going up and down just below my belly button) because he does not like fighting old scar tissue. He looked it over and asked about the scars. He said he would try going in threw the old scar since I asked, and mentioned the other one looking "bad" I told him that yea it is an ugly thing. So he went in threw my old scar and since it was a little more work I did bruise up BADLY, but I am still happy he did and while he was down there he fixed up the little scar to make it nice and flat. Not sure just what he did, but it is now a little smaller (not much) but it nolonger sinks in so much and is nice and flat.

Funny thing is I had mentioned to my friend that was going with me that it would be really cool if he fixed that up some for me while he was there, but I was more concerned about a midline cut and staples. She had reminded me that it didn't matter how he cut me as long as I got put back togeather. She was SO happy for me when he came out after surgery to tell me my #'s and that he had done some work on that scar.
