Hello again...
Say, I was wondering if I could pick your brains here for a moment? My 5 yr. old seems to have come down with hand foot mouth disease. I wouldn't have suspected it but all my kids and my nieces and nephews got it a couple of yrs ago and my nieces and nephews just got over it, again. We had avoided visiting them for the duration of their sickness and thought it was safe to hang out again, but now my daughter came down with a sudden headache and has since thrown up. (Sounds weird, but that's how the symptoms began last time). So, instead of letting her "ride out" the symptoms, I thought maybe there is something we can do to relieve the symptoms and help her get over this quicker. Anyone have experience with this one? Thank you all.
Amanda

We just got over it and it was odd, effecting each child differently. I found nothing to make it go away faster but treated it like chicken pox with extra vit e and c, sunlight. The symptoms they all shared were sore throats and ears and thicker than normal mucus. The normal ear ache remedy of garlic/mullin oil burned their ears though. Their fevers responded quickly to belladonna. Hope that helps a bit!

Funny, Rourke just got it. He's working for a woman who works in a daycare. His charge didn't get it, but he did, and Elias got cranky and a few itchy spots on his hands, but no blisters, not like Rourke.. Rourke's hands were covered with blisters.
Sorry, couldn't give you any idea on how to smooth out the ride, I know yogurt is supposed to help if they have it in their mouths.. you could always try garlic - garlic fixes everything doesn't it?
