This is my 13th pregnancy and I'm discovering once again that each pregnancy is as unique as each child is. I was gaining weight pretty much on schedule - a total of 20 lbs - until somewhere in my 5th month. Here I am at nearly 8 months (31 weeks) and I'm still only 20 lbs over my pre-pg weight. The baby kicks regularly, my fundal height measures about 32 cm, baby's heart rate varies from 136 to 158 bpm. I'm drinking plenty of water and I'm eating well, taking my prenatal vitamins like a good girl.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? I keep wondering if I should find a Dr. and have an ultrasound done just to make sure the baby's ok. The lack of weight gain worries me but the baby seems to be growing and strong, so I'm having a hard time deciding what to do.

That's interesting. This is really unusual for me, though, so I'm not sure how concerned I need to be.

I'm not sure, but i'm a huge fan of going with your gut. if you think something is wrong, have it checked out.

As long as fundal height is growing and you look and fee healthy I wouldn't be concerned. But is growth stops or you are feeling or looking sicky I would concider getting things checked out.

Yeah, I'm not panicking. Baby is still kicking with gusto and I'm feeling good, starting to have more contractions these days, so I'll just hang on and see what happens. :)

Thanks for the input, ladies!
